How It Works
We keep projects simple: you get a written scope, a fixed price, and a team that sticks to both. Here's exactly what happens when you decide to work with us — before, during, and after you sign.
Before you sign
Every project starts the same way — with a conversation, not a contract. You tell us what you need; we tell you what it costs and how long it takes.
Fill out the contact form or email us with a rough idea — new site, refresh, e-commerce, automation, or all of the above. No need for a perfect brief.
Usually within a business day, we reply with a clear plan: what's included, what's not, a fixed price, and a realistic launch timeline. For larger projects we may schedule a short call first.
You get a written scope document — pages, features, deliverables, and price. Ask questions, adjust if needed. Nothing moves forward until you're comfortable with every line.
Once you approve the scope, we send a simple agreement and invoice for the deposit. Payment received, calendar booked — your project is officially underway.
After you sign
From kickoff to go-live, you'll always know where things stand. We work in clear phases with check-ins built in — not a black box and a surprise at the end.
A focused kickoff — your goals, customers, brand, and must-haves. We confirm the scope in writing and lock the timeline. You know exactly what we're building and when you'll see it.
Real, branded designs — not wireframes in disguise. You review, give feedback, and approve before we write a line of code. One round of revisions is included; major direction changes get re-scoped upfront.
Pages, content tools, commerce, integrations — everything in your scope gets built and tested across phones, tablets, and desktops. We keep you updated as milestones land.
Final review, DNS pointed, site live. You get admin access, a walkthrough of how to run things day-to-day, and documentation for the basics. Hosting, SSL, and backups are set up before we call it done.
What's covered
Everything below is part of a standard engagement unless your scope doc says otherwise. If it's listed in your proposal, it's included — no extra invoices mid-build.
Our fixed-scope starter package — the fastest way to get online beautifully. Same process, same transparency, just a tighter feature set.
What's not covered
We'd rather be upfront than pad a quote with things you don't need. These items aren't included by default — but we can add them with a clear price if you want them.
Your part
Projects move fastest when both sides know their role. Here's what we ask of you — nothing heavy, just enough to keep momentum.
Respond to design reviews and scope questions within a few business days. Delays on your end push the timeline — we'll flag it early if we're waiting on anything.
Provide copy, photos, logos, and brand colours when we ask for them. Don't have everything ready? We can work in phases or quote content help separately.
Domain registrar login, existing hosting, Google Analytics, email — whatever the project needs. We walk you through exactly what's required at kickoff.
The fine print — in plain English
Typically 50% to start, 50% at launch — or as outlined in your proposal. Invoices are due before the next phase begins. No hidden fees, no hourly surprises.
When the final invoice is paid, the site is yours — code, content, admin access, the lot. We build on standard tools with no lock-in. You're free to move hosting or hire anyone to maintain it.
30 days of bug-fix support is included. Need ongoing hosting, updates, or new features? We offer optional care plans — quoted separately, never required.
FAQ
Still unsure about something? These come up on almost every project. If yours isn't here, just ask — we're happy to clarify before you commit.
Most MVP websites launch in 2–4 weeks from kickoff. Larger sites with e-commerce, custom integrations, or extensive content usually run 4–8 weeks. Your proposal includes a specific timeline — we don't start until you've seen and approved it.
Our MVP website starts at CA$2,000 for a fixed-scope launch package. Custom projects are quoted based on pages, features, and integrations. You'll always get a fixed price in writing before any work begins — no hourly billing, no creeping scope.
Not necessarily. We can design around placeholders and slot content in as you provide it. That said, projects move faster when core copy and photos arrive early. If you need help with writing or photography, we can quote that separately.
Yes — that's the point. Every site includes a content management system you control, plus a training walkthrough. You won't need to call us to change a price, publish a blog post, or swap a photo.
Small tweaks within the agreed scope are fine. If you want to add pages, features, or change direction significantly, we'll update the scope document and quote the difference before doing the work. No surprise invoices.
We set up and configure hosting as part of every launch. Domain registration is yours to own — we'll guide you through purchasing one if needed, or connect to your existing domain. Ongoing hosting fees are third-party costs, typically modest monthly plans.
Completely. Once the final invoice is paid, you own the site — design, code, content, admin access. We build on standard platforms with no lock-in. You're free to move hosting or hire anyone to maintain it.
Every project includes 30 days of bug-fix support for anything we built. After that, optional care plans cover hosting management, updates, and small changes — quoted separately and never required.
One round of design revisions is included in every project. We show you real designs early and don't move to build until you've approved the direction. If something's off, tell us — that's what the revision round is for.
Usually, yes. We regularly migrate sites from WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and other platforms — preserving content and SEO where possible. For automation projects, we connect to the tools you already use rather than forcing a switch.
Ready to start?
No commitment until you've seen the full proposal. Fixed scope, fixed price — just like we described above.
